Our Story is a short one: We are on a mission to increase market access for Micro, Small, & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from sub-Saharan African countries to the United States, by sourcing brands that are created in sub-Saharan Africa while keeping with our 70/30 rule: 70% of our vendors are women-owned businesses.

We promote trade between Africa and the United States of America using AGOA.

The world’s appetite for authentic African products has grown and continues to grow. However, finding these products has proven to be a challenge for many consumers. Many owners of African products are individually promoting and marketing their products on their platforms. Finding a single platform that promotes and markets all things African (or African-inspired) is a challenge. ShopAGOA.com is an online marketplace that sells, promotes, and markets African products.

We were inspired by the US/Africa trade agreement, the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), which enhances market access to the US for qualifying Sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries.
